The Open Gardens of Shere

Welcome to this 'The Open Gardens of Shere' page.

One of the traditions of Shere Village that everyone looks forward to each summer is the Annual Open Gardens Day.

Shere Open Gardens was started in 1978 to raise money for the village hall roof, and has continued year-on-year since.

One question I promised to answer -
What is this plant?:

Answer: Dead nettle plant (Lamium maculatum)
'Orchid Frost' has blue-green foliage and purple blooms April-June. Looks perticularly good in front of a border or in a woodland setting with light, dappled shade. So to everyone who asked,
including Dave and Sarah, I hope this helps.
